Terms of Service

Last updated 13 July 2026

These terms apply to your use of WishPilot for LinkedIn (“WishPilot,” “the extension”). By installing or using WishPilot, you agree to them.

What WishPilot does

WishPilot is a Chrome extension that automates sending congratulatory messages on LinkedIn's own Catch Up page (birthdays, belated birthdays, new roles, work anniversaries, promotions, and education or graduation), using templates you write or LinkedIn's own default message. It runs entirely inside your browser.

Eligibility

WishPilot is meant to be used together with a LinkedIn account, so you need to meet LinkedIn's own eligibility requirements, including its minimum age requirement, to use it in any meaningful way.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use WishPilot, including the content of any templates you write and the schedule on which messages are sent. WishPilot automates the same actions you could take manually on LinkedIn's Catch Up page; it is your responsibility to use it in a way that complies with LinkedIn's own User Agreement and any applicable law, and to moderate your sending schedule to avoid spam-like behavior.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use WishPilot to send harassing, abusive, or unlawful messages, to impersonate anyone, or to attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the extension as your own product. Templates you write are yours, WishPilot only fills in the {name} and {fullname} placeholders and sends what you asked it to send.

Intellectual property

The WishPilot name, icon, and code are the property of its author. LinkedIn, the LinkedIn logo, and the Catch Up page referenced throughout this site are trademarks of LinkedIn Corporation and are used here only to describe what WishPilot integrates with.

No affiliation with LinkedIn

WishPilot is an independent, unofficial tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with LinkedIn Corporation or any of its subsidiaries. LinkedIn is a registered trademark of LinkedIn Corporation.

No warranty

WishPilot is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. LinkedIn may change its own page layout or behavior at any time, which can affect how WishPilot works.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WishPilot's author is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension, including messages sent on your behalf, any action taken against your LinkedIn account, or data loss.

Termination

You may stop using WishPilot at any time by uninstalling it, which also removes all of its locally stored data. These terms stop applying to you once you have uninstalled the extension and are no longer using it.

Changes to the extension or these terms

WishPilot may be updated from time to time to improve reliability and add features. These terms may also be updated, in which case the “last updated” date above will change.

Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Together with the Privacy Policy, these terms are the entire agreement between you and WishPilot's author regarding use of the extension.
