WishPilot for LinkedIn (“the extension,” “WishPilot,” “we”) is built with a simple rule: nothing you write leaves your browser. This page explains exactly what that means.

Summary

WishPilot has no server, no database, and no account system. All of your templates, settings, and send history are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage.local API. We never see this data, and it is never transmitted anywhere.

Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information, browsing history, or LinkedIn data on any server. WishPilot does not use analytics, tracking pixels, cookies for tracking, or any third-party advertising or measurement service.

The only data WishPilot handles is: - Message templates you write for each occasion - Which occasion categories are enabled, and your run schedule - A local history of runs and category breakdowns, kept for your own reference - The floating panel's position on the page

All of the above is stored only on your device, inside your Chrome profile.

Cookies

WishPilot does not set or read cookies, and does not use any browser storage mechanism other than chrome.storage.local. It cannot see cookies set by LinkedIn or any other site.

How WishPilot uses LinkedIn data

When you start a run, WishPilot reads the names and occasion cards already visible on LinkedIn's own Catch Up page in your browser tab, so it can send the same wish you would send by clicking the button yourself. This happens entirely inside your browser. Nothing about the people on that page, their names, or the cards shown, is copied off your device, logged, or sent to us or to anyone else.

Permissions we request, and why

Chrome requires extensions to declare permissions up front. Each one WishPilot requests is used only for the purpose below, and nothing else: - activeTab: read the current tab only when you click the extension icon, to open or focus the Catch Up page - storage: save your templates, settings and history locally - scripting: inject the floating WishPilot panel into the Catch Up page - tabs: find or open the LinkedIn Catch Up tab - alarms: keep a run going on schedule, even in the background - notifications: let you know when a run finishes - host permission (linkedin.com only): WishPilot only ever runs on LinkedIn's own pages, and cannot see or act on any other site you visit

Data sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share any data, because we do not collect or hold any data in the first place. WishPilot does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-broker service.

Security

Because your data never leaves your device, it is protected by the same sandboxing Chrome applies to every extension's local storage, isolated from other extensions and from web pages you visit. There is no server, database, or transmission channel for it to be intercepted on.

Your choices and control

Since everything WishPilot stores lives in your own browser profile, you are always in control of it directly: - Edit or clear any template at any time from the Templates tab - Review your send history and category breakdowns from the Report tab - Turn off any occasion category you do not want included in a run - Remove all stored data at once by uninstalling the extension

There is no account to delete and no request to submit, because there is nothing held anywhere except on your own machine.

International use

WishPilot can be installed from any location where the Chrome Web Store is available. Because no data is transmitted or stored outside your own device, there is no cross-border data transfer for this extension to account for.

Data retention and deletion

Your templates, settings and history remain on your device for as long as the extension is installed. Uninstalling WishPilot from chrome://extensions removes all of its locally stored data immediately, since there is no server-side copy to delete separately.

Children's privacy

WishPilot is a productivity tool for LinkedIn, a platform intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and as explained above, we do not collect personal data from any user regardless of age.
